Objectivos de aprendizagem (conhecimentos, aptidões e competências a desenvolver pelos estudantes)
A UC de Seminário de Tutoria tem como objectivo prosseguir a orientação dada pelo de Seminário de Orientação do semestre precedente, com o foco no acompanhamento da revisão de literatura a ser feita para suportar a questão de investigação identificada.
No final da UC os estudantes deverão:
1. Conhecer as áreas de conhecimento a referir na revisão de literatura;
2. Dispor de um repositório de referências bibliográficas a citar no texto final da dissertação;
3. Ter realizado a redacção de um short-paper referente o estado da arte no âmbito da questão de investigação identificada.
4.Idealmente, ter submetido o referido paper num evento científico da área em estudo.

Learning outcomes of the curricular unit
The objective of the Mentoring Seminar is to continue the guidance provided by Orientation Seminar of the previous semester, with the focus on monitoring the literature review to support the identified research question.
At the end of this CU the students must:
1. Recognize the areas the of knowledge to be mentioned in the literature review;
2. Build a repository of references to include in the final dissertation;
3. Have written a short-paper on the state of the art related to the identified investigation question.
4. Ideally, have submitted the above paper to a scientific event in the area in question.

Neste Seminário de Tutoria pretende-se que o aluno defina um percurso de trabalho, já com o tema e a questão de investigação assumidos, para que a preocupação esteja focada na abordagem, que contribuirá para a definição da metodologia a usar e da amostra objeto de recolha de dados e posterior análise. Sendo o objetivo da UC o de tutorar os estudantes no processo de investigação nas áreas científicas do ciclo de estudos, os conteúdos programáticos propostos definem a estrutura da dissertação. Desta forma está assegurada a coerência com os objetivos propostos.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the Curricular Unit’s objectives
This Curricular Unit expects that the student constructs a working plan, now with the theme and research question assumed and consequently, the concern is focused on the approach that will contribute to achieve this goal, on methodology to be used and on defining the scope of the collection and subsequent data analysis. Considering the objective of tutoring students in the process of research in the scientific areas of the course, the proposed syllabus defines the structure of the dissertation. Thus is ensured the consistency with the stated objectives.

Metodologias de ensino (avaliação incluída)
Aulas:
• Sessões expositivas com os conceitos, as definições e o enquadramento teórico;
• Sessões com exposição de revisões de literatura de investigações já feitas, quer por profissionais, quer por docentes;
• Sessões com apresentações de alunos, também de anos anteriores,no sentido de estimular a troca crítica de ideias sobre temas preparados por cada um;
Avaliação continua:
A avaliação corresponde a uma média aritmética de três componentes:
• Participação em sala (20%);
• Escrita de um short-paper (2 páginas A4) no âmbito do tema definido (50%);
• Blind-review de short-paper de um colega (30%).

Planned learning outcomes, teaching methods and assessment methods and criteria
Lectures organization:
• Lecturing sessions on concepts, definitions and theoretical framing;
• Practical sessions where methods and techniques are presented and where the students are motivated to participate in class work, individually and in group;
• Monitored completion of exercises on information systems development and process representation.
Continuous assessment:
The assessment corresponds to the arithmetic mean of three components:
• In-class participation (20%)
• Writing a short paper (2 pages A4) on the defined theme (50%)
• Blind-review of a colleague’s short paper (30 %).

Demonstração da coerência das metodologias de ensino com os objectivos de aprendizagem da unidade curricular
As metodologias de ensino permitem ir de encontro ao cumprimento dos objetivos, principalmente pela sistematização e troca de ideias que as sessões de exposição de revisões de literatura de investigações já feitas e das apresentações de alunos irão permitir. A escrita do short-paper será crucial para a avaliação final, dado que irá transparecer de que forma cada aluno adquiriu conhecimentos teóricos, inerentes às exposições em sala.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit’s objectives
The teaching methodologies allow to achieve the proposed objectives, mainly by systematization and exchange of ideas from presentations of research literature already done. The writing of the short-paper will be crucial to the final assessment as will disclose how each student has acquired theoretical inherent exposures in the same room.
